Children in Need

by Esme and Annabelle

This week is not only anti bullying week, but is also when we all raise money for Children in Need. This important cause, raises money in many different ways such as: The Rickshaw Challenge and the donations from the BBC Children in Need Show. The annual show includes many different acts, such as; singing, to one off episodes of famous TV programmes, the cast of which are always willing to show their support. “I always donate and I waited for an hour and a half in the rain to see the Rickshaw Challenge pass by Brockham!” Quoted Mrs Cummins.

Nearly all schools have their own creative way to support Children in need; ranging from bake sales; to mufti days where you bring in a chosen amount to donate to this wonderful charity. North Downs Primary School, is one of the schools who donate, all the money that the pupils raise is inspired by our School Council who always come up with different fun ideas!
