NDPS Football Round-Up

Dorking Primary Schools Football Tournament

Our Year 5 boys recently participated in the annual Dorking Primary Schools Football Tournament, which took place at St Martin’s this year. They played very well, demonstrating some fantastic teamwork resulting in numerous quality goals! Tom (Skylarks) was Player of the Tournament having shown brilliant commitment and fantastic skill. It was an extremely close tournament and the team finished second overall, a point behind eventual winners The Weald. This included 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss from 7 matches, so very well done to all the team - especially as it was this year group’s first competitive tournament.

Our Year 6 boys also participated in the Dorking Primary Schools Football Tournament, but the week before Year 5 - and as holders of the title were hoping to defend and retain our title. The team did not disappoint! They played brilliantly in every match, demonstrating the importance of playing as a team, scoring some outstanding team goals and defending incredibly well. They did not concede a goal in the whole tournament and won 6 out of their 7 games, drawing 1 - winning the title for the third year running. They will now represent the District in the County Finals taking place at Dorking’s Meadowbank Stadium.
