Sports Report for 2021/22

North Downs have had an amazing year of achievements in a wide variety of sporting competitions. Our final two competitions of 2021-22 took place in the last 2 weeks.

The year 5 and 6 outdoor athletics team took part in an exciting and fun evening held at Pixham Athletics club on July 7th. With some outstanding and gutsy performances from our team including losing a shoe and winning their race and dropping the relay baton and still coming 3^rd   We   came 2^nd in the throwing, and boys track events, joint 1^st in relay, 1^st in the Girls track and were the OVERALL WINNERS for the 1^st time since 1956!

The following Tuesday our Sports Hall Athletics Team of 27 girls and boys from Years 5 and 6, represented Dorking in the County Sports Hall Athletics finals at St Georges School in Weybridge. The children took part in throwing, jumping, relay sprints and obstacle races to finish as Silver Medallists!
